Rhombus

It's quite obvious what the answer to level 18 is. Since that answer is being rejected, I can only say that this was a poorly made game.

To be more precise, the level design was poor.

Rhombus, Kite, Diamond, Square. I should not have to try further on this level to guess the right word for Rhombus that you want used.

I give you a two for the previous levels being decent and the overall design and presentation being smooth.

Evil-Dog responds:

how about a fucking circle arrogant prick?

nice signature in your profile too
"i'm so much smarter than you that it pisses me off. i'm not kidding either."

maybe you should revise that.

sweet

sweet game. not perfect.

ways to easily improve it:

1. more sound tracks.
2. option to start from a level you've previously reached.

ideas for sequel:

multiple robots on one stage. level editor. sensors (in conjunction with a dynamic stage: moving walls, lights, etc. and in conjunction with robot being placed at random locations with the stage)

btw. what is this 'billy the robot' that you credited? i can't find it anywhere on the internet.

Coolio-Niato responds:

Bill the robot, a game on NG by Matt Chase

well

everything up until the level that rotated was fun.

then the rotating level came.

and i was quite annoyed. it's quite literally impossible to beat and i doubt anyone on newgrounds has beaten it.

also, you can't start up from levels you've reached later on.

i mean.. really? really? you kidding? we have to play through everything again everytime we sit down to play?

really?

are you serious?

really?

i had you at 7/10 but i'm bumping it down to 4/10 now. it was ridiculous you didn't let us do level select for level's we've beaten.

3/10 actually.

3ruce responds:

No. When you beat it you get the level selection. Think we're that retarded?

Also, Fuck you for your shit-ass review.

well

I don't really like this game.

Some of the planes are way too hard to hit. I focus on them with 5 points in accuracy (not six. I don't play the game of "leave new grounds come to my site instead and the game will be better") and my bullets just hit underneath them or something cuz i see the explosion right on the plane and yet it doesn't get hit. sometimes i'll just do that the whole way from it's emergence till it's departure. and bam I lose a life just because of a flawed game mechanic.

it was very frustrating.

casinojack responds:

I appreciate your feedback, but yours is pretty much the only comment I've received with regards to accuracy. I realise the larger planes can be a bit of a pain, which is why I slightly increased their hit area. However, I'd like to wait until I get some more comprehensive feedback before doing a major update.
Regarding the version on earcade's site - this was part of the sponsorship deal and will not be changed. Developers need to pay the bills too, y'know.

Pretty bad

Well I set it to easy thinking it would make the game playable.

How wrong was I?

Very.

Way too hard. I'm not some kind of expert poker player but I figured putting it on easy would improve my hands. Nope. obviously easy is meant to dumb down the AI, but for someone like me who is too intelligent to have wasted any part of their life playing a game like poker, that doesn't help at all.

I had bled someone down to 700 - 30 and was about to clean up when oh my! I get 30 shit hands in a row. Yes I counted. 30. Not to mention my opponent was getting GOLD for all 30 of them.

Statistically that seems so unlikely that I think you've coded the game wrong.

I hate it and I will probably track down other websites this game gets posted to to talk about how bad it is and discourage potential new players from even trying.

You know what would have made this game great? If you could go around and earn items/skills that improved your luck in games.

That would have really bumped up the adventure/rpg aspect of it. A lot. Like to the point where it'd be fun and accessible to everyone. Not just fucking rounders.

Your game fails. End of story.

Youdagames responds:

Your Poker skills failed end of story!

very nice

very fun.

i emailed suggestions to the author, including containing whole map on one screen to eliminate scrolling, putting the tech options in the castle so u don't have to have a tech building. hotkeys for upgrades. ability to repair. and removing the tower limit.

no game is perfect.. this game could be worse and still deserve a 10 in my book.

Phantasmagor responds:

Thanks a lot for that, some good suggestions but scrolling is needed because 1st of all it makes it have more of a warcraft feel but 2nd it actually cuts off some of the lag coz then the computer doesnt have to show all the graphics at one time. Everything else sounds like a great idea!

here are the bugs/problems:

first of all. say you have 4 clips and 7 rounds on ur pistol and you reload.

you'll be at 3 clips with 8 rounds. so basically you just threw away 7 rounds by reloading. you need to alter this. this is a logic error in your programming. you could argue this is more realistic but since this is different from the way all other games do it, it's crap. please fix it.

interface issue:

it's unintuitive to press down to cycle through powerups and up to select it. it should be: up and down to cycle through it and some other key to select it.

painisenjoyment responds:

there are a few other shooting games with my reloading logic, and i happen to like it.

and shift was originally the key to use powerups, but you had to break your pinkie to reach it. and control just felt weird to me. next game will have ASDW and shift, along with up,down, left, right like this one. so you can either use basic controls, or the new ones
