too difficult

the level of difficulty of the questions is far too high. i'm a genius with an iq in the untestable range yet i could hardly ever last more than a few questions. intelligence doesn't matter since this measures arcane mundane useless knowledge that even trivia experts will be unlikely to have picked up over the course of their worthless lives.

in short, this was a horrible submission and i enjoyed voting it 0 enough to justify the time i wasted hating- err i mean playing it.

pacdude responds:

Translation: Bitch moan, bitch moan, some intelligence test said I was smart and now I'm butthurt because I don't know any of this shit.

Most of the questions were just from watching TV and listening in class. I think that you should be familiar with the difference between knowledge and intelligence. You have an IQ of an "untestable range," but you obviously don't know things like where the Griffins live on Family Guy, what the capital of Thailand is, who won the 2008 World Series, or how to be not a holier-than-thou asshole.

Your IQ doesn't make you better than anyone. You're a self-righteous prick who thinks that your genius status makes you a good person. Fuck off, asshole.

mathematical variance equivelant

if you keep track of the mathematical variance equivelant between horizontal and vertical movements you'll notice it follows a deterministic pattern.

basically the first derivative of activity here is not random.

change that and the game could have more depth.

Ab9003 responds:

First of all, you give no reason why you gave this game such a poor rating.
Second of all, your suggesting I make the physics of my game random? Trying to sound smart doesn't make you right.

illogical controls

The controls were illogical.

Should have been left/right/up arrows for movement and jumping and C or Z to switch characters.

There was no need for a "follow" button.

Having Z and C be controls made it so you often hit the wrong key.

DAIRYDOG responds:

3 keys

3 fucking keys

+ up arrow key being jump is irreversibly gay

wow. stupid

the lives mechanic is really stupid. you shouldn't be punished for success. but you are.

if you do well in levels then hit a lvl and lose all ur lives.. you can't go back and do better when you already got A's on all the previous ones.. so you're screwed.

this is not the type of game where you give a limited (and very small) amount of lives to beat the whole game.

this game fails bigtime.

The-EXP responds:

...you can go back and reclaim lives by ding better on previous levels. It's pretty simple really. Re-read your review title :p
Thanks for trying though...

well

getting the guy to give you a boost to jump up hardly ever works 99 times out of 100 he just jumps normally and the other guy stops maintaining the boost position.

is there a trick for beating the game with this function not even implemented properly due to the author's shitty programming skills?

re author: who knows and why should i care? i'm probably the only real gamer out of everyone whose played this game tbh and i'm definitely smarter than any of those other reviewers.

I-smel responds:

If my programming skills are so shitty, why is this the first complaint I've had about the control system in 140 reviews?

Rhombus

It's quite obvious what the answer to level 18 is. Since that answer is being rejected, I can only say that this was a poorly made game.

To be more precise, the level design was poor.

Rhombus, Kite, Diamond, Square. I should not have to try further on this level to guess the right word for Rhombus that you want used.

I give you a two for the previous levels being decent and the overall design and presentation being smooth.

Evil-Dog responds:

how about a fucking circle arrogant prick?

nice signature in your profile too
"i'm so much smarter than you that it pisses me off. i'm not kidding either."

maybe you should revise that.

sweet

sweet game. not perfect.

ways to easily improve it:

1. more sound tracks.
2. option to start from a level you've previously reached.

ideas for sequel:

multiple robots on one stage. level editor. sensors (in conjunction with a dynamic stage: moving walls, lights, etc. and in conjunction with robot being placed at random locations with the stage)

btw. what is this 'billy the robot' that you credited? i can't find it anywhere on the internet.

Coolio-Niato responds:

Bill the robot, a game on NG by Matt Chase

well

everything up until the level that rotated was fun.

then the rotating level came.

and i was quite annoyed. it's quite literally impossible to beat and i doubt anyone on newgrounds has beaten it.

also, you can't start up from levels you've reached later on.

i mean.. really? really? you kidding? we have to play through everything again everytime we sit down to play?

really?

are you serious?

really?

i had you at 7/10 but i'm bumping it down to 4/10 now. it was ridiculous you didn't let us do level select for level's we've beaten.

3/10 actually.

3ruce responds:

No. When you beat it you get the level selection. Think we're that retarded?

Also, Fuck you for your shit-ass review.

well

I don't really like this game.

Some of the planes are way too hard to hit. I focus on them with 5 points in accuracy (not six. I don't play the game of "leave new grounds come to my site instead and the game will be better") and my bullets just hit underneath them or something cuz i see the explosion right on the plane and yet it doesn't get hit. sometimes i'll just do that the whole way from it's emergence till it's departure. and bam I lose a life just because of a flawed game mechanic.

it was very frustrating.

casinojack responds:

I appreciate your feedback, but yours is pretty much the only comment I've received with regards to accuracy. I realise the larger planes can be a bit of a pain, which is why I slightly increased their hit area. However, I'd like to wait until I get some more comprehensive feedback before doing a major update.
Regarding the version on earcade's site - this was part of the sponsorship deal and will not be changed. Developers need to pay the bills too, y'know.
