very very buggy. nice idea though. please work on it and fix all the game breaking (literally hard game breaking) bugs.

lovely aesthetics but it's annoying how you run out of energy so quickly in every level... and how you have to hold 'r' to restart. why not just restart when we die..?

STANNco responds:

we've done some updates to make the battery less stressful

i solve black hole equations in my head for fun and this was accurate

was trying to remember why i didn't wishlist this during nextfest. then i got to the jumps where you have to somehow run towards the edge then suddenly switch directions, then pulse... without the momentum subtraction from the anti-direction arrow you're holding slowing you down too much.. and also jumping

it feels so HORRIBLE. ruins the whole "polished platformer" feel so much that i guarantee you, wheter you're willing to accept it or not, it was a huge design error.

re: author: i'm glad to hear that. i guess i'll put it on my wishlist on steam after all. please just clean that ability up. i have no other complaints and i'm an absolute whore for metroidvanias of any kind

RiverForgeGames responds:

Hey, thanks for honest feedback! This is definitely something we're willing to acknowledge and work on.

Internally as we're working towards a full release, we have totally taken this ability back to the drawing board and we've made some significant adjustments so it feels more useful and intuitive.

christ what polish. i wish platformers of this tier were still released on NG

honestly, if the only key you'll accept is space, then don't say "press a key to start"

awesome game though. just like that undergrave game that just popped up on here a couple weeks ago

my gun is bugged. it's firing in a random direction. i wasn't able to aim it at my cursor or with WASD/arrows or anything.

I can't quite put my finger on the problem here.

There is a lot of art, quite good art, imo.

But the music is just terrible and doesn't fit at all.

And the handling and combat aren't great. They feel slow and awkward.

I think you could tweak that and create something really lovely here. The music has to go though.

The whole "metal music" dwarf aesthetic just doesn't do it for me.

Were the glitchy looking graphics intentional? I couldn't tell if it was some kind of rendering/frame/resolution/aspect-ratio/whatever problem.

I'm not remotely interested in dating simulators or dressup games or visual novels etc. so I can't weigh in on the quality of this. But the art/graphics were off-putting and I'm not sure if that style was intentional.

this game has nice polish. but the combat sequences are paced too slow.

no reason you can't just instantly have the next-to-move move.

also the lack of music or ambient noise hurts the atmospheric tremulosity.
