Were the glitchy looking graphics intentional? I couldn't tell if it was some kind of rendering/frame/resolution/aspect-ratio/whatever problem.

I'm not remotely interested in dating simulators or dressup games or visual novels etc. so I can't weigh in on the quality of this. But the art/graphics were off-putting and I'm not sure if that style was intentional.

this game has nice polish. but the combat sequences are paced too slow.

no reason you can't just instantly have the next-to-move move.

also the lack of music or ambient noise hurts the atmospheric tremulosity.

what are we supposed to do in the second level once we've collected the three key items (steak/salt/pasta)

i've gone around and clicked on everyone and everything (as well as the key items) and nothing seems to be triggering.

i was under the impression that they'd need to be brought to the guy who gets inside the cooking pot... but at this point he's not interactable.

i'm wondering if the game is bugged or if you simply didn't develop it beyond this point..

really liked it up until this point.

edit: yep i see from another commenter that if you light the fire before showing up with the three ingredients, it simply doesn't trigger.

i doubt you'll fix this so i'll be leaving the rating at two stars.

i'd blam with a zero but i liked the art and ambient music and i understand that in games like this with complicated states, it can be difficult to encapsulate all possible behaviors and sequences of actions. i get that. what i don't approve of is devs who don't fix critical bugs when they're pointed out and i'm confident you won't fix this one.

i often his Z to dash but it doesn't register because the game is still updating the movements of the enemies. then i hit the arrow to dash in a given direction. but since the z wasn't registered, it just walks me in that direction and i take damage.

that alone is enough to give this a zero.

the controls are very bad.

I have the perfect game for you, is called Red Ronin, is one of my games, like Undergrave but with a fast paced combat, there's a demo on Steam if you want to try.

fun but short

my main complaint would be the sound effects, especially the sound effect for regular movement. not pleasing at all.

New levels are available!

not big on visual novels.

but you didn't hide that it was a visual novel and it seems high quality as visual novels go.

so i'ma give it a... uhm...... 4 i guess.

a very stuffedwombat feeling art style.

not my cup of tea (kind of boring)

but still nicely polished and internally consistent.

got pretty hard pretty quickly. but still great.

i'd say make some of the noninteractible sprites look more different from the interactible ones.

e.g. logs that you can't cut shouldn't have a similar color palette and size/position/etc. to the ones you cut down.

really nice soundtrack.

Thanks, my brother will be pleased that you liked his music :D
Great ideas! Thank you, this feedback was really useful. I will think how to go with that on my future releases, but for this one I also kinda wanted to not really make the breakables stand out since I wanted them to really look like natural part of the forest. But I think there are ways to do it even while making it stand out a bit ;)

i was terrible at it.. but loved it

don't like the genre. music was bussin' though
