why do i have to lift my hand off my keyboard and move it over to my mouse every single level?

this is one of the cardinal sins of web games.

edit: bumped my rating up to 3.5, since the authors didn't react defensively like most do here on NG when facing criticism.

We could probably add a key in for reading the dialogue tbf

Intrapath responds:

harsh but fair lmao

why do i have to click back in the text field after each submission, my god.

i've been planning on replaying witcher 3 ever since the big graphical update but now i feel like i don't need to.

thanks for condensing absolutely every aspect and nuance of the original game into this 10/10 IGN GOTY Goated AAAA-quality masterpiece.

don't call your game a picross game if it's going to be something with different, pretty random and annoying rules.

Yes.

You did.

picross is shown as a tag for this game. Authors set the tags.

Veinom responds:

I never called it picross. If anything, Rudy specifically says that it's not picross.

this is the undisputed red dead redemption 2 / breath of the wild / witcher 3 of games named peaceful night.

an absolute goat in the "peaceful night" genre

kind of boring. and the upgrades do very little which makes progression very unsatisfying.

i barely ever felt like the fuel capacity upgrades did anything. i'm sure it did.. but i didn't feel less rushed whatsoever.

nice game but i screamed louder and more forcefully when the ghost haunted each picture than i have in my entire life, waking up neighbors and getting in serious trouble.

Sound no longer seems to work for games launched through the NG Player.

i'm sorry. i tried to help ur mom get out but the frustrating aspects of this game were too much.

that said, i think 3 stars is too low of a rating. it has nice music, art, and sound effects. and i like the overall design.

but there are a few key issues that need to be addressed:

-acceleration is way too low. it feels like trying to run in a dream feels (and no that wasn't your intent. you just didn't tune the horizontal acceleration properly.)

-agonizingly slow death animation

-having to do most of a level or at least much too large a chunk of it upon death.

-platforming needs more overall polish. this is a vague criticism and i don't pretend to have an easy answer for what needs to be addressed or how. but an example would be the way it feels to disembark from the top of a ladder. people will constantly fall off the sides when they're trying to jump off. you start to fall too quickly as soon as you leave the all-too-small horizontal sweet spot for ladder snappage. see point 1.

sorry about your mom

perfect execution on this mechanic. good job
