    -too slow

-hate that i had to use WASD and couldn't use arrow keys. in a one-handed game, arrow keys are preferable

    -inappropriate music

-music way too loud. if i lower my speaker volume even one millimeter, they're silent. at the minimum to hear the music it's loud as hell

-most importantly: a completely uninspired and boring concept.

-graphics.. there basically are none.. and not in a charmingly minimalist way.

    CjElliott responds:

-Looking at your medals you are still on the controls tutorial of the levels, the game gets faster and a lot more challenging on the later levels.
-Use Space bar to speed up the game for the first few levels if needed.
    - Arrow keys are supported, simply press the keys.

-Sorry that the music is too loud, you are the first person to state this, I will look into it.

-Sorry that you don't like my idea, most others seem to enjoy it.

Thanks for reviewing my game :D

I got 107.. and submitted high score and I don't see myself on the high score list.

Window is too small. I don't like the lack of mobility and how small the room is.

The music is a bit jarring without a bass track

    HenrikSahlin responds:

Your score did get submitted, just look again it is there.

It just didn't grab me. The art was great. The sound seemed fine. The music was good.

Combat was nice and simple, a nice change from the tedious combat of other games in this genre.

But I'm just not attracted to clicking through lots of exposition.

The best stories are told implicitly. I think using lots of dialog is lazy and breaks immersion.

People don't understand that theme is far more important than story.

I think obectively I can give this a 4, despite what to me were shortcomings, the quality of the game was higher than my experience.

    Hyptosis responds:

    Thanks!

I like this genre. I liked the game this is a clone of a lot and this is a fun twist with the upgrades.

It is missing something big though. A replay button at the end of levels you get at least one star on.

    That was VERY annoying.

    blit-blat responds:

There is a replay button! At the top, the third one along, the circle arrow, you can click that at any time to restart that level! Enjoy!

It would have been funny if the premise was that the reason alien's anal probed us was so they could collect our poop to use as ammunition.

    DBuck-Eye responds:

I like your thinking. Maybe I'll steal that for the sequel...

I don't like having to click twice to get to the next level and that the continue button is down in a corner while promotion links are dead center.

Another big flaw is that the name of the game is grayscale and that is a reference to nothing but the color scheme of the game. It in no way influences the game's mechanics. The name should have been to do with the actual mechanics at play.

Finally, I don't like games where there is a level selection screen and a clear boundary between levels with a score screen or something. It just makes games feel incredibly cheap. Much better to just transition smoothly from level to level without any reference to a level "number."

Lot of potential but some serious flaws.

    Komix responds:

    but you can replay levels!

holy crap the music is way too loud compared to the sound effects.

    Wolod responds:

You can always mute the game. It's impossible to please everyone, you know. But if I'll be working on an update, I'll make the music a little bit quite.
