attacking just.. doesn't make sense. it's like i swing.. behind my character.. i have no idea what the hitbox is or how attacking works.

also the audio is broken just like ur other game, magiblade or w/e.

re: dev

yep the audio was an issue on my end, i updated the rating. sorry

fancydoggames responds:

This is fair, Ghostly Melee needs to be updated.

the audio isn't working

re: author

sorry the audio was indeed an issue on my end. i updated my rating

fancydoggames responds:

Audio should be enabled if you interact with the game inside the IFrame. If the audio continues to not function after clicking the start button, the problem likely stems from a browser issue on your end.

straight bussin'.

put metroidvania or shmup in the tags though

Yword responds:

Thank you very much for playing! :)

Yeah it was one of my post-router switches of all things.

This is epic feels super polished. I just finished another 100% of ori 2 on hard so i'm in that mode

KeithGarces responds:

If loading the game in the browser doesn't work, you could try downloading the game on itch.io (link in description.) Hopefully the browser version works for you eventually. Cheers!

stroke victims don't smell burnt bread they smell burning hair.

re dev: as well as what? this didn't do well anyway. and i don't think hair would be any worse than bread. and lastly: i wasn't saying theme the game around hair. there' just a dialog snippet where you mention stroke victims smelling bread.. you just needed to say hair there instead and the issue i was pointing out would be resolved.

crow-seeds responds:

yea, but i dont think a hair themed platformer would do as well

swinging the sword feels horrible and the blade passes straight through enemies 4/5 of the time.

at the very least you should have bound swing to a key or something rather than having us move our mouse around and constantly screw up.

Karlestonchew responds:

Yeah we were trying something a bit experimental here since it was for a game jam, people seems to love it or hate it, thanks for giving it a chance

excellent

LeviRamirez responds:

hey I know you

wish it had upgrades. would be cool if you eventually reduced the charge time until you became af

F1Krazy responds:

Unfortunately the jam theme was "every 10 seconds" and it wouldn't fit anymore if I did something like that, but there's definitely ways of fleshing this out once the jam is over.

the art and atmosphere is pretty great.

the controls though... wow. i get it. it's designed for controller. but you released it on NG. a pc gaming platform.

also your controls in the description are listed wrong.

PizzaKiddo responds:

Thank you for play testing our early prototype demo. Just to offer some assistance, the controller rebind (remapped inputs) are located in the Pause Menu — they are geared towards the Xbox 1708 controller, but some folks had success with PSX, Switch Pro, and some generic controllers, which all are pretty standard for PC gaming / Steam / etc. 🍕

actually the enterprise's ongoing 7 season mission was to seek out new life and civilizations and boldly go where no man had gone before.

not to go around shooting and killing like this.

picochaz responds:

Have you seen Q-Who, Best of Both Worlds, or Star Trek First Contact? Starfleet was defending itself from assimilation at the hands of the Borg. They didn't give them much choice but to destroy the multiple Borg ships that were sent towards Earth else the entire Federation would be destroyed.

Beyond that, this is a shmup with a Star Trek theme, not meant to be 100% canon.

My thought process was a game where you can take out your aggression on the Borg. Hopefully this is fun and I think pretty canon for Worf and Captain Picard overall as seen in First Contact.
