this is fantastic. literally my only complaint is your explanation of the controls in the description. what an absolute cacophony of words and controls that could be so much shorter and simpler.

WASD - movement
J - attack
K - jump
L - shoot
down+K - slide

that's it. not all the dumb alternate controls which just confuse things. besides half of those "alternate" controls don't actually work.

regardless this is a great castlevania.

but remove the metroidvania tag. this is not a metroidvania. it's a legit castlevania.

those were for the gameboy console that is why its A,B,Start,Select etc. I changed it, hope this clarifies the controls more, thanks

re: ok so now it works. congratulations. why was it submitted before working in the first place? nevermind. so now you have us use arrow keys but we have to click to restart? so we have to move our hand between keyboard and mouse? why not wasd + mouse.. or how about arrows/wasd + something other than mouse?

I was trying to submit to a game jam so there was a lot of stuff that was from older version of the game and didn't have time to change before submission.

i liked it. great design. i don't understand why it's in black and white though.

the atmosphere and black and white don't really mix. this isn't noire or whatever.

everything was great except that i never used anything but the fully charged, omnidirectional attack. and i assume most others did the same.
