It started out great. I liked the art and the music. The controls were fine.
But then I died on the final boss and was rushed back to the beginning of the entire dungeon.
I just don't have the patience to redo that much playtime.

at the start of the game you flash a dozen little instruction screens. a game should do 1 at most at a time. otherwise you overwhelm the player.
sprite was too big and he didn't have diagonal movement animations (nor did his orientation respond to diagonal movement toggling)
art was good but the lack of music weakened it.
controls felt awkward. z and x didn't seem to have real clear and defined functions. didn't feel natural the way FF titles generally do. i think having the inventory be one of the "yes" or "no" buttons made it feel wrong.
cardinal sin of flash games: forcing the user to move their hand back and forth between the mouse and keyboard. you did this. why?
also as i'm sure many others have mentioned, the movement and responsiveness of controls felt absolutely horrid.
one way to partially solve this would be to have the screen stay centered on your sprite, no matter how fast you moved. and not let you speed up or slow down so much in air. that just feels clunky.
the text for one of the powerups doesn't fit into the box. "now you can get two shots of" and it abruptly stops like you had so little respect for the player that you didn't even test your work.
your grammar is atrocious. you should have had this whole thing proofread.
the first medal never triggered for me.
upgrades weren't good enough. and after you get them early on you're left collecting gold for no reason other than score.
i hated the jumping mechanic (that delay made it so slow and unwieldly)
i hated how the ufo could blow up buildings that were off the edge of the screen.
all in all this feels unpolished and poorly designed.
no complaints. everything was excellent.
always surprised when i see this level of detail and craftsmanship in a flash game.
it's not my genre though. i didn't play very long. doesn't mean it's not a 5/5 for its genre.
eh. this is definitely bad enough for me to avoid stuff from this guy again. though i'm not sure who to avoid. chaz or mythologic..
what a total waste of time.
the sound engineering in this was perfect
horrible song with a nerdy voiced girl
controls too sensitive.
no upgrades (persistent)
still fun.
since you do things and push things on a grid, you should also move according to the grid.
Yeah it's true ;)
the jobs or whatever make no real sense. you hit statues and become them? becoming them unlocks them on the upgrades menu? eh.. seemed clunky and thrown together.
the upgrades were really lame. would have liked to get more powerful. some dashes, a better sprint, etc.
