I have a good pc but the lag on this was very annoying. It mostly only occurs at the start/finish of levels and when you pick up powerups.

Still one of the best metroidvania flash games ever.

Why is this on the front page?

There's no music. Only jarring painful sound effects. The art could be made by directly editing a .gif file with a text editor.

The mechanics are uninteresting.

This is one of the best web metroidvanias with the most awesome theme and atmosphere I've ever played.

2 was even better.

And it was a real shame that he didn't continue with his plans to make a fuller featured version for Steam.

Ok first of all.

Why are you not mentioning Crystal Quest?

This is a clone of that game. And you gave NO credit here. Not even a mention. Shameful.

The interface was so bad. You have to click to scroll down in the upgrade descriptions.. in a TINY bar and it drags down so fast you can't even read it.

You have to wait for mouse button to RELEASE before your projectiles fire. This feels completely wrong. If you tested that, you'd have realized that.

No sound.

What's sad is crystal quest was from like 20 years ago and it was immensely better in every possible way.

Edited the description to mention what I based this on. Crystal Quest was my favorite game for a long time. I'll probably be remaking this game to be more diverse and loyal to the original.

Made this in like three days a year or so ago.

the most incredible masterpiece of all time. in any field or endeavor. this makes the ceiling of the sistene chapel look like a kindergarten sketch. it makes the theory of general relativity seem like the musings of a drowsy toddler. it makes game of thrones seem like jersey shore.

Great game. The very last bit took me several tries before I realized I could just shoot an arrow to the ceiling, then through the gap on the right, then warp to ceiling while the right-moving arrow traveled.

Love that it was short.
