games used to be this hard

considering how hard games used to be it's a miracle the video game industry every took off like it did.

let's be honest. the only reason games were so hard is because game design itself was so primitive. when you can't have content and real depth, artificial difficulty inflates your game with artificial depth.

absolutely terrible. i got cleaned out everytime i played.

how can you have an rpg where your only way to win is to be extremely lucky?

too difficult

Too difficult. It took me three tries to beat it on easy. That's not what "easy" means imo.

Improvement: The color upgrade wheel should allow you to see what it is the later upgrades do (the ones that you haven't unlocked yet). I wanted the sniper tower but I went the wrong way since there was no way to know which end segment was the sniper until you've upgraded the two under it.

Graphics were very nice.

Sount was not good. Some of the towers firing sound effects were just... well.. lame. Especially the sniper tower. Also the graphic of the sniper tower's projectile was kind of lame as well.

any potential this game might have had was utterly destroyed by that shark part. end of story. it's clear you made the game unenjoyable on purpose.

little too easy and way too short.

great design and clever puzzles.

smooth and nice graphics. i beat it in 46 minutes, 13 seconds on my first try.

good in all aspects except playability

the music/sound/graphics/story was all great for a flash game of this magnitude.

one problem: the controls rendered the game unplayable.

it's simply too unintuitive to press the up key to go "down" a ladder.

the arrow keys should correspond to their directions.. other things like interaction, attack, etc. should always be left to other keys.

if this was fixed (or if you'd had enough respect for the player to let them choose their key bindings which is a fairly simple thing to implement in actionscript.. i don't know why more games don't do it) then i'd definitely have played this game more and probably added it and the author to my favorites.

deficient

poor voice acting, bad choice of window size. (text was too small at this setting. you can make the window larger you know) and too much boring dialogue and loading in between levels.
