meh. was a bit boring. very cheesy. and i definitely did not like the choice of music.

i get that these touchy feely videos are supposed to be huge hits on NG.. but this one just falls way way short.

you should seem some of the other ones. the epic ones. and you might get an idea of where you went wrong.

rofl. no joke i was just talking to someone about this very concept.

we were joking about how unlucky this really stupid kid was to have his dumbass parents in genetic combination.

and i jokingly said "unlucky for a human but lucky as hell for matter"

then i started talking about how ridiculously unlikely it was on a universe-scale that a random human-size amount of matter gets to assemble into even a living entity, let alone a conscious one, let alone a sentient one. let alone a human one in a time when quality of life is high enough that your chances of living well past child-bearing age are close to 100%.

and then the very next morning after that conversation, i see this on the front page.

what are the odds of that?? lol

I felt that the text really cheapened everything.

It's like you were saying "I lack the skills to tell a story in this format so I will fall back on text"

The closing line about them becoming friends was cheesy.

The art and music were fine but the text just ruined it for me.

It really made me feel like I was watching the creation of not only an amateur.. but a rather childish and shallow thinker.

marred by deplorable voice acting, a disgustingly clashy set of two uncooperative art styles, an annoying and ridiculously non-ambient sound track, pointless story..

the list of things that are weak about this crappy submission goes on. i won't waste my time writing it.

nor will i finish this video.

I think I'm still trying to transition from having the music be the main focus and drive to just being a background element, and I'll admit that I didn't get it right this time. I do, however, always try to have some sort of point whenever I make a video these days, so perhaps if you watched the movie through to the conclusion it would be a different story. But then again, if I wasn't able to keep your attention until that point, it is my fault. I'm in a stage where I'm experimenting with style, so maybe next time around it will look more pleasing.
