doesn't load

When I run this game it just loads a white screen with a version # in the lower left corner.

I have the latest version of flash and no issues on my end.

Is anyone else able to load this as of my review?

People are pissed about the site redirect.. is that a popup and does it occur at the very start of the game?

well

getting the guy to give you a boost to jump up hardly ever works 99 times out of 100 he just jumps normally and the other guy stops maintaining the boost position.

is there a trick for beating the game with this function not even implemented properly due to the author's shitty programming skills?

re author: who knows and why should i care? i'm probably the only real gamer out of everyone whose played this game tbh and i'm definitely smarter than any of those other reviewers.

If my programming skills are so shitty, why is this the first complaint I've had about the control system in 140 reviews?

need health

game would be much more fun if you had some health or lives and they could possibly be regained during play

this would probably make this a different type of game altogether, but i sure would have enjoyed it more.

REVIEW

i don't like how you come to a horizontal stall during jumps. it makes them worthless because they are much slower than blocking.

also the way you automatically turn to face the enemy combined with the fact that your block also blocks attacks from the rear amount to the combat being unrealistic and more or less not depending on the direction of the enemy.

nice art, music, sound, and gameplay for the most part.

music.. just bleh

music just hurts your ears after 15 seconds of it. can't really stand it at all. need something more ambient. and the loop is far too short. but the main problem with it is the way it blares and stands out without being good enough to justify it.

the game runs smoothly and the graphics are decent though. i'll probably give this a more thorough playthrough with the sound off.

it's nice

i found this game on newgrounds almost a year ago. been loading it up and beating a level or two every once in awhile. at this point i've got quite a few done including all the hardest ones on extreme. maybe someday i'll have em all beaten. i don't know.

never bothered to review it though. it's very smooth and i like the music.

well

assuming the coins were worth .01 of a bill value, your game was flawed.

since it probably wasn't, that means you're using some weird currency that doesn't work like dollars and cents (100 cents per dollar)

so how about explaining the currency. i don't know where that currency is from.. nor do i care in the SLIGHTEST. how about have a damn clue what audience you're aiming for when you make a game?

Rhombus

It's quite obvious what the answer to level 18 is. Since that answer is being rejected, I can only say that this was a poorly made game.

To be more precise, the level design was poor.

Rhombus, Kite, Diamond, Square. I should not have to try further on this level to guess the right word for Rhombus that you want used.

I give you a two for the previous levels being decent and the overall design and presentation being smooth.

Evil-Dog responds:

how about a fucking circle arrogant prick?

nice signature in your profile too
"i'm so much smarter than you that it pisses me off. i'm not kidding either."

maybe you should revise that.

sweet

sweet game. not perfect.

ways to easily improve it:

1. more sound tracks.
2. option to start from a level you've previously reached.

ideas for sequel:

multiple robots on one stage. level editor. sensors (in conjunction with a dynamic stage: moving walls, lights, etc. and in conjunction with robot being placed at random locations with the stage)

btw. what is this 'billy the robot' that you credited? i can't find it anywhere on the internet.

Bill the robot, a game on NG by Matt Chase

wow

imo the best use of flash in the rpg sense ever.

the overall graphical and sound design meshed perfectly.

not sure all four classes were needed, some of their gameplays weren't really different at all.

and i kind of wish you just had control of medic.. aka controlling all members of your party.

though for all i know adding that complexity to the gameplay might have taken away from it's feeling of perfection and polish.

i learned a lot from this game that i intend to apply (general principles) to game creation myself.
