I'd write a longer review, but everything that needs to be said has been said.

I also feel that the last shot of the girl in the tank was out of place.

Overall this is a really great submission. I'd even say underrated. And as of this review it has a pretty darn good rating

Thank for your review. Yeah, the end scene was kinda taking the happy ending away. It's just a gateway to open up a few ideas if I ever continue this as an episode or a sequel. Hopefully. But, the ultimately it is open to interpretation.

I think it would have fit the tone a little better if, right as they burst out the doors making their escape, some zombies flanked them right outside and ripped them to shreds and it showed the dog's face whimpering as he watched the boy screaming while getting savaged.

I don't get the point of this. Nothing interesting or new is said...

And really even the first time something like this was said, it was pure rhetoric.. and had no meaning or substance to it whatsoever.

The animation is good. The art is too minimalistic to be judged. I would lean towards not great.

And the voice is annoying. It has that "hardcore liberal vibe" to it that annoys me.

the art was good..

the animation was stiff.

the music did not fit at all. very inappropriate

and it had this idiotic.. "humans are evil but all animals are kind and pure and even animals like leopards and owls which are completely at odds with each other irl are somehow allies against the big evil humans" message which just made me want to puke.

Well you're the first person I've noticed to say my animation was stiff so that's.. interesting. I'll try harder next time to stay loose.

Music is always a tricky thing because everyone has different tastes in music. I liked the pace of this track and I just generally enjoy listening to it. I think that's important if you're spending up to 10 hours a day for 2 weeks editing a video. Maybe it wasn't appropriate. I think next time I'm gonna consult someone else for the music and sound because I make poor decisions. Maybe it's because i'm focused too much on the visuals. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I don't completely disagree with your interpretation, although I think you could have said it in a less blunt way. The video tells a fictional story, rather than making a statement about humankind with nature, but since you looked at this philosophically, let's examine it that way.

let's see.. "Humans are evil"- that's quite a polarized view and it wasn't my intention to show that ALL humans are evil. "some humans are selfish" was more what I was trying to show. Since you brought it up; yes I think there's some truth that wild animals are pure. Nature is beautiful yet deadly and there is a kind of purity in this. Without the presence of humans, it would remain balanced. Animals like the Snow leopard kill other animals on a regular basis, but out of survival and this maintains a delicate eco-system. Then we have the skin trade. Leopard skins are worth a fortune on the black market and people buy them as a status symbol. That to me IS cruel and it disrupts the balance of nature. Therefore in my eyes, the poaching trade IS an enemy towards nature.

But yeah I totally should have given the "bad guy" some more depth. Killing animals for some messed up sense of satisfaction is lazy writing and so he should have had a better motive.
