e=mc^2 is not the theory of relativity. wtf. it's just mass-energy equivalence. it happens to have a factor of c^2 which is relativistic, but there is no equation for relativity in general. and general relativity's is G_uv = 8piT_uv, etc.

re: author

To anyone reading author reply and wondering wtf they are talking about. They just typed some random expressions. Author is as ridiculously stupid as I thought. I've lowered my rating from 3 stars to .5 stars.

Halve responds:

(z−2)2=−2i=2ei3π2 = z−2=2–√ei3π4 isn't obivious?

beautiful animation. stellar sound/music the ambiance is perfect

but i had to quit because of how difficult it is to change directions. when you're in the air you can't change directions and when you land, you still can't for a crucial amount of frames.

it made movement feel so clunky i just couldn't get into a good rhythm

still a stellar entry but i'm far too intelligent to want to deal with that annoying movement limitation

D-SuN responds:

Thanks for playing and for point out the issue. Lots of other people think the same, turning is a bit unresponsive. I'll get onto fixing it! Edit: Those fixes are now done and game is updated!

he is kill

no

i don't really understand the point of hitting the discs. just makes them move faster.

nice graphics and sound and handling though.

Make more of this.

feels like you forgot to test a few things here.

this game is entirely broken.

i selected arcade and hit enter. it brings up a menu, continue camera shake, etc. so i select continue and it just closes that sub menu.

no way to actually play.

Elastiskalinjen responds:

Pico8 is weird, enter just brings up the pause menu. The actual way is to press z, controls are in the description.

tommy refenes?

anyway, i feel you overtuned 3-8. took me more deaths than i care to admit to beat that.

also i'm not a fan of having to hit space bar to start a level. it should just start automatically or at the very least allow us to hit the arrow keys for it. that way we can relax more and only have one hand on keyboard.

LeviRamirez responds:

I'm not Tommy, I'm Levi...

From the very start, I was typing perfectly and every single letter was highlighting red. There is no way I was missing anything but I take this red to indicate that I was getting everything wrong.

If you can't get simple char-based text entry right then I doubt this game is worth a second more of my time.

EAtkin responds:

Okay maybe red was a bit of a questionable colour choice but it colours the text you've typed correctly in red. It'll bleep and shake the screen a little bit if you type something wrong.

"Maybe the author will revise based on your feedback!"

Are you not the author? You've billed yourself as the author in the credits on the side. That is incredibly disingenuous if you are not the author.

Also why didn't the author/engine designer allow us to use ctrl+backspace to delete words?

And the usage of the word 'wan' at the start is grammatically incorrect and immediately set a bad tone.

BoMToons responds:

You obviously didn't play through the whole game... I am the author of this ENGINE (and the baked-in first text adventure), but if you use 'cmd web list' there are other authors who have contributed their own text adventures (and who are fully credited in-game).

Part of the "unfolding" of this game's narrative is that you have the power to edit the world (like Neo in the Matrix) and, in-fact have the ability to create your own world from scratch (and share it with other players if you so choose)! The comment on the "Horse Dildo" was in reference to one of the other adventures, by another author (Braden), available via 'cmd web list.'

I'll look into adding ctrl+backspace, didn't know that was a thing! (Update: I added this in version 1.7 (version displayed on the splash page)! Thanks for the feedback)

You might need to Google how "wan" (meaning "pale") can be used as an adjective, since it IS INDEED grammatically correct to use it as a noun modifier for "moonlight" - some of the first examples from Googling the definition of "wan" include "the wan dawn light" and "he gave a wan smile"

I always appreciate reviews, but this one is wrong on a few levels!
