passable with some problems

i'd have given this an 8 or 9 out of 10 if a couple gameplay issues had been done correctly

the timer was a pointless nuisance.

since you have infinite lives.. the timer simply means that sometimes when you have 30 or so seconds left right at a death, you need to sit there and just wait for the clock to run down since attempting the level is pointless.

timer should just be removed or it should count in the opposite direction and be used for score purposes.

need health. running through a level just to die instantly because you were a couple pixels to the left and bumped into a spike accidentally is pretty frustrating. it doesn't fall into the category of what i consider "fun difficulty" but rather falls into what i call "tedious difficulty"

sound effects and graphics were pretty good, though the music becomes unbearable after a few minutes.

SO SO

not that great. i guess i'll take the time to tell you why

-controls: space to fire is not fun. would be a lot better if you moved with WASD and aimed and fired with the mouse

-shop/menu system was unclear. took me a second to figure out that i was just upgrading the weapons and not buying them.

-unclear font on numbers

-using your health to buy stuff wasn't a very good idea.. it gives you no incentive to kill.

-very boring and repetitive. especially at level 16. progressing to 17 would require you to run around and shoot stuff for 15 minutes which was boring.

-not many weapon types and the upgrade system was too simplistic

graphics and sound were fine though.

weapon graphics and animation weren't very creative though.

i'm speechless

i'm not normally a fan of arcade shooters but this even less my taste than usual.

you die quickly and instantly upon any contact whatsoever... wut?

no continues or retries. also no upgrade system.

just way too difficult and not pleasing.

when you make contact with an enemy ship or projectile, the contact doesn't even finish. the ships just reach each other's edge.. and it freezes and u die. that's very unappealing. at least have a real crash through.

sorry i had to rate this a 1/5.

also no pause or mute and the first boss laser.. wut?

mediocre

difficulty scaled too fast and there was no way to start a new game.

you always started with your previous upgrades. even when i cleared all my browser information i was unable to start a fresh new game.

too difficult

the goal of the game appears to be upgrading, yet upgrading just makes the game harder.

i'd say the biggest problem was having to differentiate between vip and normal tickets. they don't even have vip tickets at theatres, so i'd take that option out completely. it wasn't fun.

fun with one problem

i had fun and got to level 30 or so. not sure which it was. all i know is i was using the manned turret and gunning down bats, walked into the next room and a spike came up through the floor and killed me (unavoidable)

not a problem if the last checkpoint hadn't been so far back.

kind of unacceptable and i didn't feel like playing through all that again (including the room where waves and waves come at you) so i ended up not finishing.

good overall though. just a problem with level design. the engine and concept are all superb.

nice concept, could use some improvements.

it was fun. but it had some issues that could be improved

1. too easy. making columns of ships pretty much made hard difficulty incredibly easy.

2. needed upgrades. you need an upgrade system rather than just unlocking different types of ships. or at least some combination of both those mechanics.

3. prep time. it was a little annoying that you kept giving us new types of ships but there was no point where we could analyze the stats of the various ships and decide what our plan would be. if you pause the game, mousing over the ship types doesn't make their stats popup and if you do it at the end of a level, the end-level message box covers up half the stat window.

4. color. some games are stylishly done in B&W. yours wasn't. it could use some color to add some depth.

upgrades man. it's all about the upgrades. that's what flash game players love most. they're so easily implemented too.

twenty bucks?

I'm sorry. At first I was enjoying the relaxing music, sound effects, and graphics.

Then the game stopped short after just a couple minutes of play and asked me for twenty dollars.

Move that over a decimal place and you might have some buyers.

My guess is that this is an experiment in pay-to-play flash gaming. They are about to learn that no one is going to pay $20 for this type of game.

fun

it's not terribly ambitious nor does it try to be.

fun addicting camera/movement scheme. makes it a little too easy though.

either you fixed the reloading problem after death or the previous reviewers were using old versions of flash, because i didn't seem to encounter that issue.

fun

pretty fun. i beat the came fairly easily but i'd still have liked a map of some sort.
